Welcome to The Nitty Gritty of Blogging: Feedburner, Part Two! This week I’m sharing a series of Feedburner tips and tricks that will help you to get the most out of this powerful little tool.

Today I’m going to show you how to add an image to your feed!

Unless readers click through from their feed reader to your blog, they usually miss out on all of the beautiful design elements of your blog. But you can give them a little taste by uploading your logo, which will show on many different feed readers.

In your Feedburner account, click on the optimize tab, then click on “Feed Image Burner” in the left-hand column.

Next to “Image Source,” select “Specify custom image URL” from the drop-down menu. Then insert your logo’s URL in the next box.

Give the image a title, which will be the image’s “alt” tag, and which will also show in text form if the image cannot be displayed.

Then insert your blog url in the “Link” box, and the image will send the reader to your blog when clicked.

Click activate or save, and you’re good to go!
